Utilising 13,830 ft² [1285 m²] of our structural composite, SPS, in the arena’s construction, the stadia terrace decking was installed in just 6.5 days by SPST Network Partner, Freedom Enterprise, Inc.

In addition, the SPS Stadia+Arenas System delivered outstanding results in this volleyball arena, featuring not only the terrace decking but also:

• media and ADA platforms,
• wall panels,
• vomitory walls,
• parapet walls and
• aisle steps.

By specifying the SPS Stadia+Arenas System, the design and construction team kept these components of the volleyball arena construction under one contract. This translated to easier advanced coordination, faster construction and significant savings.

Together, HOK and Kansas State have a 10- to 15-year athletic masterplan, which brings improvement to each of Kansas State’s 16 athletic programs ranging from minor upgrades to new arena construction.  Ongoing works will ensure that Kansas State is a modern sporting destination worthy of its student-athletes and fans for years to come!
