Our team has proudly supported Stena Line’s fleet for more than two decades, delivering innovative SPS solutions that keep vessels in service, extend operational life and reduce downtime. It all began in 2002 with back-to-back reinstatements on three RoRo vessels.
As an early adopter of the Sandwich Plate System, Stena Line demonstrated confidence in this emerging technology by implementing it across three vessels: the Stena Transporter, Stena Transfer, and Stena Partner.
The ambitious back-to-back deck reinstatement program delivered impressive results:
The projects exemplified how strategic technology adoption, combined with effective execution, can deliver both operational efficiency and commercial benefits.
These results demonstrate why Stena Line continues to rely on SPS for large-scale reinstatements: minimal disruption, rapid turnaround and permanent strength!
Stena Line has chosen SPS for everything from small reinstatements to large-scale deck renewals. Over the years, our team has delivered 11 major reinstatement projects across multiple vessels with the same commitment to efficient repairs and personnel safety.

”The original program of repairing 10,000 m2 of deck on three ships back to back in 70 days was the most demanding schedule I have overseen as a technical superintendent. The project would not have been possible with conventional repair techniques.
