September was a busy month for the SPS Technology Maritime & Offshore team and dedicated partner network. Attending some of the biggest industry events of the year, our partners connected with like-minded industry professionals keen to reduce their repair costs, lengthen the lifespan of their vessels, and increase ROI.
SPS Technology Partners at SMM Hamburg 2024
Our partners— Metalock, Leo Maritime and SRC Group (alongside the Estonian Marine and Manufacturing Initiative)— took centre stage at SMM Hamburg 2024, proudly flying the SPS flag. SMM is one of the most prestigious gatherings in the maritime sector, and during their short time there, the teams saw tremendous interest in our groundbreaking structural composite.
Our partners walked miles, engaged hundreds of industry professionals and made a lasting impression discussing how SPS is shaping the future of structural repair and enhancement. And after the event, they wasted no time, promptly following up with those who requested further information.
If you missed out on the event but are curious about how SPS can solve your challenges, we encourage you to contact us today!
SPST Partners at ROG.e 2024
Meanwhile, in the same month, but on the other side of the world, our Network Partners, Metalock and Megatherm, attended ROG.e 2024. This major event, previously Rio Oil and Gas, brought together leaders from across the energy sector and offered a fantastic platform for our partners to demonstrate how SPS is rocking the maritime and offshore industries.
In fact, SPS Technology partners have been solving interesting problems that other materials, even some structural composites, can’t for many years. SPS is so versatile, delivering where others fall short – as a welded repair in dry dock, as a Cold Work repair at sea, or even repairing the dock itself. It’s no wonder our partners are such strong advocates of our innovative composite technology!
SPS at Navalshore 2024
Megatherm’s Sergio Mattozzo and Robin Lee Kilpatrick of Metalock also hosted a seminar on SPS at Navalshore 2024. The team opened the session by introducing the Sandwich Plate System (SPS), and went on to present a case study of a successful deck repair completed while the vessel remained in operation—another advantage of using SPS is that it helps save significant time and costs by avoiding the need to dry dock.
Seasoned veterans in the use of SPS, the Metalock team shared their recent successes installing our Class-Approved structural composite on the side shell of a floating terminal and repairs aboard FPSOs.
