2025 was a whirlwind for our team, and so now we’re looking back on a year full of progress! Not only did we celebrate 22 years of Cold Work repairs and forge new partnerships, but we also undertook major retrofits, delivered stadium projects, and continued to demonstrate to our global clients why SPS is a reliable, versatile solution.

San Diego Softball
As part of the $14.5 million upgrade, SPS Technology worked alongside Northwest Steel Erectors, Walter P. Moore, Crawford Architects, and Level 10 Construction to bring state-of-the-art facilities at the University of San Diego’s softball complex to life.

D4S Partnership

Owosso Speedway
Our team put the pedal to the metal with an exciting new grandstand, complete with SPS stadia decking, at this 88-year-old facility in central Michigan.

World Cup 2026 US Venues
When you’re hosting the world’s largest sporting event, sometimes you need to make a few changes! With strict FIFA rules regarding field of play dimensions, SPS was installed at MetLife Stadium, Lincoln Financial Field and Lumen Field.
We’ll be telling you more about those demountable SPS installations soon (and looking forward to the big event)!
Fly Challenger
Using 504 m² [5425 ft²] of SPS, 52 cavities were applied on the Inner Bottom, Hopper and Stools in two cargo holds of Fly Challenger to successfully reinstate the corroded plating and enhance impact protection.
Cidade de Itajai
With our Network Partner, Metalock, we provided Cold Work repairs using just 1.03 m² of SPS on the FPSO Cidade de Itajai whilst it was in the Campos Basin off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

Methanol Superstorage AiPs
We congratulated our partners, SRC Group, whose Methanol Superstorage solution won the 2025 RINA Maritime Innovation Award! SRC’s novel solution uses SPS to convert and maximise the use of the fuel tanks of existing vessels to methanol. So, it was a proud moment for our team to see SRC’s innovation recognised by RINA!
Lone Peak Tram Terminals
Big Sky Resort completed significant upgrades to its ski-slope access infrastructure, including replacing the Lone Peak summit tram. We’re proud to say SPS played a part in this stunning project – even at 11,000 ft!

FPSO Berantai
Our partners, ASOM, successfully installed 91 m² [985 ft²] of SPS across 66 cavities (including the engine room side shell, poop deck and ventilation fan room) on the FPSO Berantai – whilst it remained in production!
